Today the thousandth visiter passed my website. I`m back from a fantastic holiday in the provence (France). I`ve climbed the Mont Ventoux with my racing bicycle and played a lot of camp fire songs in the evening with lots of guest at our camping la gravouse

Last week I`ve recorded a cover song from Krezip with Janne en Leanne. This two young (12 year) girls are singing fantastic and are only accompanied with my acoustic guitar. You can listen and or download here.

June was party time for me and my family. I celebrated my fiftieth birthday and there were lots of other parties. Unfortunately there was no time left to spend in my studio
In the beginning of June I received a request to play the 5th of July live an acoustic set with a local well known vocalist (Floor) and conga player (Jerry) in Park Angerenstein. After 2 gigs with Jerry and Floor we played 8 (cover) songs and the audience was enthusiastic. They shout us back to play 2 extra numbers.
Lucky me was Floor (with her beautiful voice) so kind to sing some vocal phrases in my studio as a contribution for my upcoming song.

I`ve made lots off progress last week with my fourthcoming song "There`s no way I`m going back to you". After 2 minutes the song is going to change from reggae to funk to heavy stuff. So there is hope, red haired guy from Switzerland. The female vocals in the song which I use are from Barbary??? . Maybe I put a small piece Barbary at Pentecost on my website. Next week I have a short vacation on Vlieland (a small isle). I saw on you tube a very good guitarist called Adam Rafferty with a beautiful number called America, you can see the video below. I contacted him and he was so kind to send me the music and guitar tabs. So my guitar is in the suitcase for practising the number in Vlieland. Today Joost completed his promise. In my studio he sings several times with different pitches the legendary words There`s no way I`m going back to you. Wat a voice,what an expression and compassion. At the moment I do some some analysis to give the vocals a steely Dan kind of feel. Check in soon to hear Joost and the females????

Today Joost Overburen contacted me. Joost is a famous dutch designer and a long distance neigbour too. He asked me if he could use a small piece from one of my songs for a web based digital invitation for Bronx shoes. Well no problem of course. You can see and hear the results soon. The service in return from Joost is a promise to do a vocal contribution with some females on the reggae song I`m working on.

Last week not much time making music, I`ve editted a short football game from my oldest sun team VDZ D1 versus Groessen D1. You can see the movie here. I did some photo editting too from a football tournament with Easter in Belgium, all the football players and parents can see or grab the pictures over here

There is one reaction from a red hairy guy living in the mountains in Switzerland who says he is missing heavy guitars. Well maybe I ask him to come over to play those guitars.

What an amazing kick off. Since the last 4 days my website had 1498 hits and 91 visits. There is more than 500 Mb data downloaded.
The reggae song which I`m working on is called there`s no way I`m going back to you, you can hear a raw draugh here.
I saw in "de wereld draait door" a Belgian poet called Christophe Vekeman. I like him very much. Obviously only understandable for dutch speaking persons.

I hope that end of this week the website is working well. There are some problems in the listening room and the download section.
This week I have started working on a reggae song (Rene goes dreadlock) with a simple Em-D-C-Bm chord progression. You can hear a preview of the results soon
